Our pupils recently took part in the 5 Star Disability Sports Challenge! We welcomed Caitlin to the school, who held an assembly for all pupils to raise awareness about disability sport and the Olympic and Paralympic Games. Following the presentation, our KS2 pupils (as well as some teachers) took part in the practical challenges, each based on a Paralympic sport (Wheelchair Racing, Wheelchair Basketball, New Age Kurling, Boccia and Goalball).
Pupils gained a better understanding of disability sport and learned how it is challenging but achievable! We all had such a positive and enjoyable experience thanks to Disability Sport NI.
